Sample Answer 1

• Who the child was?

One of my best friends has a 3-year-old baby girl; so every time we went out, she would take her with us.

• When and Where did it happen?
• What did he or she do to make you laugh?

Her daughter is such a witty kid, and she is always full of energy. As she begins to be aware of the outside world, she asks a lot of questions just to satisfy her curiosity.

One day, we went out shopping. While her mother and I took turns trying clothes on, she was sitting quietly on the bench. Then she looked at me and her mother and started to express her opinions on our clothes.

The way she talked was so funny that we couldn’t stop laughing. She was so used to playing with her Barbie doll that she suggested we should dress like one of her dolls.

She even taught us how to walk like models because she thought that was pretty.

• And explain why you laughed.

All the customers who walked into the store noticed her, and even the store owner couldn’t stop laughing at her since she was still a baby girl, but she talked and acted like a grown-up.

That was probably the best part of the shopping trip that I will never forget.

• Who the child was?

It would surely be difficult to gainsay the fact that children possess a quirky way to spread laughter all around. Regardless of how murky you feel, having a child around can instantly lift up your mood. Although I have a lot of children in my family, the youngest one is six years old, and his name is Yash. He is my maternal uncle’s son; thus, my cousin.

• When and Where did it happen?

So, the last time I visited my uncle’s house, for an hour or two, Yash tried keeping a distance from me. Of course, he didn’t know me well enough and wasn’t used to me being around. After a while, when he felt comfortable, he brought all of his toys and asked me to play with him.

• What did he or she do to make you laugh?

During his playtime, he asked me to become a buyer and that we would be selling his toys. In his cute, childish voice, he started shouting like a street vendor to sell his toys. This amused me a lot, and I smiled the widest. When I approached him for buying some of his toys, he asked me to go bring the money and that he would not take GooglePay transfers.

• And explain why you laughed.

This made me laugh a lot, and I was awestruck at the fact that at such a tender age, he knew exactly what GooglePay transfers are.

Vocabulary

• Witty:   Able to say clever and funny things
  Eg:  Everybody laughed during the lesson because the teacher was so witty.
• Satisfy her curiosity:   To have an answer to a strong wish to know about something
  Eg:  My answer did not satisfy his curiosity, so he asked me for more details about what had happened.
• Trying clothes on:  To put on clothes to see if they fit and if they look good
  Eg: Try these clothes on before you buy them to make sure that they are the correct size.
• Models:  People whose job it is to wear and show new styles of clothes
  Eg: The dream of many young people is to become fashion models and appear in magazines.
• Grown-up:  Typical of an adult
  Eg: The child was used to being treated in a grown-up way by his parents.
