Seeing my friends thrive makes me proud every time. But, for now, I would like to share a recent instance that made me and my friend’s family proud of her. Recently, a year back, my friend completed her graduation and invested her time in setting up an NGO. She started the NGO to give shelter to stray dogs and cats. Initially, she began protecting her four dogs near her place, and with time the number has increased to 35 within a year.

Since she initially didn’t have a budget or place to keep all the pets, she set up a pet shop. The idea of a pet shop helped her grow in business terms and allowed the dogs and cats to find a perfect place for them. The way she extended her hand to help those cute animals is extraordinary. She started intending to rescue and allow a few animals but couldn’t resist helping the others she found in pain. Even now, whenever she helps a new animal, she sounds confident and has a big smile, which is why she keeps pushing her limits daily.

• how easy or difficult it was to achieve

Caring for those animals and providing them with the ideal place to reside is not a leisurely task. But, my friend has genuinely proved herself. People in her community appreciate her great transformation, and she lives a beautiful life. Finally, when the number of animals she saved exceeded the limit, she had to find an appropriate place for them.

• and explain why you thought this was a success

Eventually, she got the idea of using social media extensively and reaching out to the people who wish to keep them as pets. As a result, multiple people have joined hands with her to help out these voiceless animals in living their lives in a better way. She has now helped 35 animals, and it’s her mission to convert this 35 to 350 someday. I am proud of her for thinking about animals and helping them. Also, I wish she grows more in her life, making me more proud of her.

I would like to share with you a success my friend has had that I am particularly proud of. My friend decided to tie the knot quite soon, right after she had graduated from university. Therefore, she had to stay at home to take care of her new born baby for 3 years before her son was able to be admitted to kindergarten. After that, she had so much free time that she decided to get a job with the aim to earning more money and enlarging her social network. As she had a bachelor degree in accounting, she set a target to pursue this field. Unfortunately, the competition in applying for a job in accounting was so hard. She finally figured out that she had to get an ACCA certificate to be qualified for a vacancy in accounting department in her desired company.

• how easy or difficult it was to achieve

This certificate was quite challenging to get, not only for the one who had left school so long as her, but also overall. She had to deal with a heavy loads of knowledge and textbooks, to revise things she had learnt before and acquire new things. Once, I looked at her textbooks when she brought to the cafeteria when we were gathering, I was extremely shocked because they were very thick and complicated. She had to understand and memorize all of them, which impressed me a lot as she was not good at studying when we were at school. At that time, she was busy as a bee, always attending training class in the daytime and burning the midnight oil night after night. Never ever in my life had I seen her so determined.

After 3 months of hard work, she finally managed to get that certificate. Now that she is currently working for her desired company, even get promoted recently, we’re still talking a lot about those days. All of us feel so proud of her success.
