• What the app/program is

These days, we heavily depend upon technology to maintain our social network. To instigate us, there are plenty of apps available to download. So, the app that I use frequently is WhatsApp.

• When, where you found it
• How you use it

Three years back, I found the app on Google Play Store and downloaded it instantly. This messaging app is extremely popular across the world. It has an intuitive interface, which makes it easier to access and use the app. WhatsApp lets you contact others through text and voice messages. If you want, you can also make voice and video calls. To spice up the communication, WhatsApp makes it interactive to communicate by allowing us to share emojis, pictures, stickers, gifs, and more.

On WhatsApp, we can also create groups. I am a part of varied groups, one for my relatives, one for my friends, and one for my colleagues. People, together, can talk in the group instead of individually messaging each other. Moreover, it’s a great way of sharing one single message that has to be sent to multiple people.

In fact, we can also broadcast a message to several people at a time. One of the best things about this app is the feature that lets us share a status. We can add pictures or videos on the status. In addition to this, we can also write our thoughts and share. The best thing is that our statuses automatically get deleted after 24 hours.

At last, the best thing about WhatsApp is that it is available free of cost. Perhaps, that’s one of the reasons why it’s so popular.

Nowadays, applications have become very common and have simplified our lives. There are applications for almost everything, from shopping to fitness, communicating with loved ones instantly, and even trading. These applications are beneficial and significant in increasing our productivity and social life. Here I’d like to talk about Instagram.

• When & Where you found it?

With over 1 billion monthly active users and over 500 million daily active users, Instagram has come a long way in the last ten years. I have been using it for over 5 years, and now, almost everyone in my family has created their profiles on Instagram. Every year, Instagram has been updating with the latest features, and the app has not ceased gaining popularity since its launch. Be it a kid or an oldie; everyone wants to be on this social media platform.

• How do you use it?

Earlier, Instagram’s sole purpose was to enable users to share images or videos.  Being a mobile-ready and user-friendly app, Instagram has developed various other features such as  Video or Audio calls, Social Media Marketing, Reels, Instagram shops and guides, Brand Collaboration, etc.

• And how do you feel about it?

Recently, Instagram introduced a feature to support small businesses and tackle key issues. This enabled users to support their favorite brands. Slowly, Instagram has become an indispensable part of my life and I feel that it is a boon to humankind.
