Sample Answer 1
In this technology-driven world, it is almost impossible to take a step without using a cellphone or the various software installed on it. To be honest, I am dependent on some apps like Google Maps, Zomato, Swiggy and social media apps like Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram. Today, I will talk about Google Maps, one of the most vital innovations by Danish brothers Lars and Jens Eilstrup Rasmussen and Google in 2004.
When my father gifted me my first Android phone, I was delighted to find Google Maps pre-installed in it along with other Google apps. After that, whenever I went to explore out with my friends or family, I switched on the Global Positioning System (GPS) on my set, clicked on the application icon and checked out the distance, fastest routes and the time required to reach the destination. Often it helps me to avoid congested roads and plan ahead.
Google Maps is a web-based application released on Android in 2008 and on other platforms like Blackberry, Apple OS and others in later years. It offers detailed information about geographical regions all around the world. Apart from the standard road maps, it provides aerial, satellite and street views of various places. Additionally, there are zoomable route planners for car drivers, bikers, walkers and alternative modes of transportation from one location to another. With recent updates, one can also find different shops, businesses around the location and lay out customer credibility based on user reviews.
As I like to explore new places, be it an offbeat place to travel to or a new restaurant that has popped up in some corner of my city, I am dependent on Google Maps. There are multiple cases where I have taken the wrong route and would have been lost if Maps had not come to the rescue. Other than that, even when I am visiting a nearby mall or a friend’s house, I always check the roads for blockages and it saves a lot of time.

Mobile phones were the most important inventions of the 19th century. The evolution history of these electronic wonders from landlines to smartphones is a remarkable transformation. Now, they play an integral part in our lives, along with certain apps that have become very popular and widely used. In my leisure time, I use an app named Pinterest. I have been using it for a long time, and I’ve fallen in love with it.
Pinterest is a site with several ideas and images one can use in their day-to-day life. For example, if you want ideas for decorating your room, getting a tattoo, doing some craft project, or designing a dress, you can go to Pinterest, search for it and get a myriad of ideas with images. In addition, each image might have links that take you to some websites for possible help and guidance.
Pinterest is beneficial in several ways. Like I mentioned earlier, if you are interested in getting some ideas, they provide you with them. For example, you love to travel, and you want to get ideas about the place or how it looks, you can go to that app and search for the place you are looking for, and you get it. There are many more uses of it, like learning languages, finding out motivational quotes, and the list is endless.
My favourite app will always be Pinterest. I love to draw, and Pinterest provides great ideas to work on and helps me in various other ways. Moreover, it has inspired me to design my own images that can be further developed into a professional skill.
