Sample Answer 1

• Who the person was?

Well, we all have a role model in our lives who inspire us to be better, more chivalrous, and strong person in life. For me, it has always been Ms. Sushmita Sen – the first Indian Miss Universe and the Bollywood actress.

• How do you get to know this person?

I am an ardent Bollywood follower. Not just movies, but interviews and public appearances of these actors intrigue me as well. However, there are only a handful of such celebrities whom I follow diligently. And Sushmita Sen is one of them.

• What impressed you most about this person?

One of the things that impressed me the most about her is that throughout the years, she continued to set examples and lead by them. She was barely 18 when she was crowned as the first Indian to win the Miss Universe pageant. Despite this enormous success, her feet always remained grounded.

• And explain why you wanted to be like this person.

I always wanted to be like her because of the class and piousness she possesses. During her Miss Universe contest, the gown that she wore in the final round was not designed by any affluent designer but stitched by a local tailor. Her gloves were made from socks. Sushmita never got embarrassed while sharing this story, which showed how connected she is to her roots.

Also, the love she spreads wherever she goes inspires me to become the kind-hearted and generous person that she is.

• Who the person was?
• How do you get to know this person?

I wanted to become someone like A, who is a household name in my country. He is rich, one of the richest in my country. But that’s not the reason I admire him. A lot of people are rich, but they don’t do things as A does.

A is the chairman of a corporation called Y, which provides a wide variety of products and services, from food to cars, from toothpicks to real estate; whatever you want, Y has it. He wants to manufacture products that other companies in my country have never been able to, like cars or mobile phones. And he wants to make them affordable too.

• What impressed you most about this person?
• And explain why you wanted to be like this person.

Another thing that I like about him is that he prefers actions to words. He rarely gets on social media to talk about himself or show off his wealth. Once he has his mindset on something, he just keeps trying until he achieves it. I think everyone should be like this: less talk and more action.

• Show off: to behave in a way that is intended to attract attention or admiration, and that other people often find annoying 
  Eg: The rich brat is always showing off his things to his classmates. 
• Mindset: a person’s way of thinking and their opinions:
  Eg: His father has a different mindset and it’s impossible to change.
