Sample Answer 1

•  What is the song about?

When it comes to music, everyone has some tastes and preferences. Some of us enjoy listening to Rock and Metal, whereas others prefer Pop, R&B, etc. There are countless genres of music, and every genre has its own remarkable qualities. As for me, I am a big fan of opera music and symphonies. My favourite song is Fur Elise, and it is a piano solo composed by Ludwig Van Beethoven. The name of the song translates to ‘For Elise’; however, Elise is unknown in this context. Although Fur Elise was found nearly forty years after Beethoven’s death, it is one of his most celebrated and popular music compositions.

•  When did you first hear the song?

It is difficult to exactly remember where I heard this song for the first time since I have known about it since childhood. Regardless, I recall this song being played by our school piano teacher on multiple occasions. Fur Elise is such a popular song that people often use it as the horn sound of their vehicles and even their phone ringtones.

•  Why is it your favourite?

A favourite song is one that gives rise to intense feelings whenever you listen to it. A favourite track can be one that makes you want to dance and react in an exciting way. At the same time, a favourite song can also lead you to feel at peace and calm you down during stressful situations. Fur Elise is my favourite song because I feel peaceful and tranquil whenever I listen to it. Even though I have other favourite songs, Fur Elise holds a special place in my heart.

Honestly speaking, for the most part, I would probably say that I have a great passion for listening to music and indeed I have listened like thousands of songs so far. However, if I have to pick out a song that I like the most, I would probably choose the song Million Years Ago by Adele. By gorgeous lyrics and melody, it’s like a piece of cake for Adele to make me addicted to this song. A significant feature that I should mention is the song’s meaningful content. It is a regretful calling inside an adult who has born his soul on the way of growing up and earning his stripes. Every now and then I feel he is so desperate that he could do anything to escape the cycle of his life but after all, he can’t afford to do so. The reason why I am so fond of this song has something to do with the fact that it provokes so many beautiful memories from my childhood. Although this song is a sad song, it opens my eyes to many things in life, one of them is that you should not take anything for granted, even the simplest one, try to live to your fullest so that one day you would not have to regret that much about the journey that you have been through. Fairly speaking, Million Years Ago is a really good song for self – reflecting especially when you find yourself lost in the super-busy world nowadays.
