It is advisable for a test taker who has come in contact with a Coronavirus (COVID- 19) suspect or someone who has a fever, shortness of breath or cough to not take the IELTS test.

Additional Health and Safety Precautions

• The health of test-takers and examiners is very important.
• It is advisable to the test takers who have come in contact with the Coronavirus (COVID- 19) suspect or someone who has a fever, shortness of breath or cough not to take the IELTS test or ask the test centre to reschedule your test or refund the amount.
• The test takers are requested to follow the official advice, which includes the self-isolation and the quarantine restrictions that are put in the country where the test is conducted.
• The test takers and the examiners should wear a mask covering their mouth and nose as a precautionary measure.
• Test takers are allowed to bring their own masks. But you may be asked to uncover your face in the test centre for some security check-up.
• The test takers are asked to wash their hands before entering the test centre and throughout the day to create a safe environment.

Important things to keep in mind

• Do not attend the test, if you have symptoms like fever, cough, respiratory issues or any other flu-type symptoms.
• Even if you come to the test centre after having all these symptoms, you will not be allowed to take the test.
• If the test taker is feeling unwell, he can ask for a fee refund.
• If you have already been there in the test centre and you are not feeling well, even then you can as for a fee refund.
• If there are any tests rescheduled or changes in the venue, it will be priorly informed to the test takers through SMS or an email.

• The officials have planned to resume the testing as soon as possible in order to lessen the disruption both among the organization and test-takers who relying on the IELTS scores.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the University is flexible on its English language requirements for intakes in 2021. IELTS indicator and Duolingo tests are accepted.

University of New Brunswick:

IELTS Indicator 6.5 and Duo lingo tests are accepted.

University of Windsor:

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the university accepts Duolingo tests.

Dalhousie University:

The University accepts IELTS indicator and duolingo tests for September 2021 intake.

Australia:

RMIT:

Due to the COVID – 19 scenario, RMIT will accept IELTS indicator scores for semester 2, 2020 and semester 1, 2021.

USA:

University of Texas at Dallas:

Considering the COVID-19 pandemic, UT Dallas will accept Duolingo English Test examination results as an alternative to IELTS. The tests should have been taken between February 1 and December 31, 2020.

Eastern Michigan University:
