Sample Essay
Several supermarkets and fast-food restaurants are advertising their products in schools. I agree that these institutions have begun to rely too heavily on school children, which is negatively impacting children’s lives. In the following paragraphs, I shall explain how it has a long-term detrimental ascendancy on children.
Businesses such as fast-food restaurants and supermarkets profit from school advertisements by instilling a sense of need and urgency in youngsters. Promoting goods in schools ensures a large number of new clients for them. But, this is a problem because many of the foods advertised in schools are of poor quality. And schools are the institutions responsible for instilling good food and lifestyle habits in youngsters. Obesity in youngsters is often caused by the promotion of fast food that contains hazardous substances.
Additionally, Children are instructed to follow school’s teachings, similar to how schools promote junk food through sample distributions, causing children to get addicted to the taste of fast food and pushing parents to take their children to fast food centers or supermarkets. This sort of behaviour should be denounced in schools. Furthermore, marketing fast food and other shop products would ruin youngsters. It is more likely to have an influence on their behaviour and generate a desire at home for goods that aren’t really necessary, forcing parents to buy these products.
Although this type of marketing is salubrious for businesses, it can negatively impact children’s health in the long term.
Overall, financial contributions from restaurants and supermarkets can assist schools in improving their educational facilities. However, distributing junk food at school encourages students to engage in bad eating patterns. As a result, school officials should exercise caution when authorizing such activities in their schools.
