Every country has a responsibility to provide free healthcare to its citizens. Over the years, there has been considerable advancement and growth in the field of medical technology, which has significantly increased the expenses of medical treatment, making it unaffordable for many individuals in society. However, I believe that all governments should view providing free treatment to their citizens as a primary responsibility, even if certain expensive medical procedures are still unavailable to the public.

To begin with, the medical sector plays an indispensable role in a country’s development. When the government offers the right to free health care, it increases economic productivity while improving people’s health. As we all know, having access to health care allows people to live healthier lives.  As a result, the healthier a country’s population is, the more productivity and creativity will contribute to the economy. So, it will be economically and socially beneficial for the country to provide basic healthcare facilities from the grass-root level.

Secondly, because health is a fundamental human right, the government should prioritize health care services by providing high-quality medical treatment facilities at no cost, which would benefit even the most backward section of society. It will also be helpful to prevent the spread of epidemics. If the health care services are offered at an early stage, it will be easier to detect the problems and avoid higher health risks.

However, on the other hand, the government may not provide free healthcare treatments for some advanced or specialist treatments like cancer or the latest chemotherapy because they demand prompt attention and care, and treatment to these diseases is expensive, making it unaffordable for the local citizens.  Despite this, the government can prevent many health complications by providing basic healthcare for free at an early stage and creating special provisions for the elderly. For instance, the government set up many campaigns and mandated all the citizens to vaccinate themselves to prevent them from getting affected by the Covid-19 virus.

To summarise, as health is an integral component of people’s lives, and people are a country’s most valuable resource, the government can offer healthcare services at no cost for the betterment of the people and society. As a result, I agree with the fact that the government should invest, fund, and support the citizens by providing basic healthcare services for free rather than advanced, expensive healthcare services.

The medical industry has seen tremendous growth and progress over the years. But the cost of medical treatment has increased, making it inaccessible for most people. I believe that having access to efficient and cutting-edge medical treatments is critical, and that it is the government’s responsibility to look after its citizens by providing free health care.

To begin with, every human being has a fundamental right to health, hence a free public healthcare system is necessary to meet their healthcare demands. Without a universal health care system, it would be nearly impossible for unemployed and elderly people to pay for expensive medical treatments, making them more vulnerable to death in the event of disease. Indeed, the government would not be able to provide free medical services for complicated and sophisticated treatments like cancer and heart attacks, which necessitate immediate attention and prompt care, resulting in costly treatments. However, by providing free basic healthcare, the government can prevent many health concerns from occurring in the first place.

To sum up, a country’s most valuable asset is its people, and good health is the most important component of existence. So, investing in people’s health by offering free medical services is critical for any government. Thus, the government should consider it as a responsibility to protect its people and deliver high-quality health care services for free.
