Making activities fun for kids can improve their skills and imagination, but reading is often viewed as a preferred activity. I believe that children’s ability to be creative and proficient can develop through activities that they enjoy.
Sometimes, while reading, children cannot comprehend proper vocabulary and phrases. The better option for them is to engage them in activities they enjoy instead of trying to teach them. Each child has their style of creativity, and fostering those skills with the correct supervision will strengthen them. Children need different activities at different stages of development. For example, painting may be the favourite activity of some children, but puzzles may be the favourite activity of others. When elders fail to be cognizant of these interests properly, their talents might become ineffectual after a point in time.
Sport is an enjoyable and healthy way for young people to develop their emotional maturity and gain self-esteem. Science does not support the notion that reading is important for a child’s development at a young age. On the contrary, evidence strongly suggests the opposite. For instance, some research found that students who had terrible comprehension of mathematics and physics made substantial progress when explained using creative activities and outside of the classroom in an open environment using real-life examples.
Nonetheless, some may argue that an open environment is both inefficient and wasteful. Having a textbook close at hand is better for developing children’s reading and writing skills. But, this tends to be an incorrect assumption since children will articulate better when they understand well.
In conclusion, I believe that children should be involved in activities they are interested in because it helps improve their skills and develop their ingenuity.

Society is evolving at the same pace as the development of technology and other scientific advances. This has resulted in changes in the overall lifestyle of every individual, including the cognitive years of the child. In my opinion, educational activities are more potent in the comprehensive growth of a child than reading can offer.
In contemporary times, a child’s education is initiated from an early age compared to previous days. As a result, different kinds of interesting tasks can make the child curious about learning. On the other hand, reading does not help at such times because the little ones cannot comprehend the letters and words from that stage. Therefore, reading is ineffective when it comes to coaching the child from a primary stage. Further, activities aid in heightening the various senses of a child. They learn to trust their own instinct and learn from every bit of information they come in contact with.
Every scientific subject needs proper experimenting and various kinds of practical enterprising. Only mugging from textbooks will not help to inculcate that technical knowledge. So, a child needs to partake in these organized projects in order to develop empirical insight. Also, many learners cannot learn from textbooks as they cannot memorize the facts. But when the same data is shown or presented to them through different modes of audio-visual learning aids, it becomes more engrossing for them.
Yet, in some cases, activity-based learning and inducing various engaging pedagogical methods can be expensive for parents and school management as most of these apparatus are for one-time use only. Nonetheless, such projects develop a better rationale among infants and adolescents than just limited reading.
To sum up, engaging a child in interesting activities under proper parental supervision builds a bond between the child and the parent, develops inquisitiveness, and makes the child self-dependent.
