The given table represents the number of medals won by the top ten countries at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
The countries on this list are ranked based on the number of gold medals won. The highest number of gold medals were won by the United States, whereas Australia won the least.
The United States won the most number of gold and silver medals and the second most number of bronze medals. The second most number of gold medals and total medals were won by China. Great Britain won the third-highest number of gold medals but won relatively fewer silver and bronze medals. Australia won the least number of gold medals but its silver and bronze medal wins were relatively higher.
The medals won by countries like Russia, France, and Italy were consistent across the three categories. Although South Korea was ranked fifth on the list, it won the second to least number of medals overall. The least number of medals on the list was won by Hungary, with 17 medals in total.
